Premiere Week Is Here!

Today we went to the mall in an effort to find me an outfit to wear for the show that's coming up in six days and to make a long story short, it was a miserable failure. Either I'm way too picky or all of the stores in the mall don't carry good stuff, but regardless of the reason, I left empty handed and in more of a crunch than ever before. I'm sure I'll find something nice before Saturday...right?

I've been working a lot on my singing lately. The most difficult part is learning the lyrics of this crazy Spanish song, but I think I've just about got it down. Tomorrow one of the dance instructors is going to teach me have to move my hips like Ricky Martin, and I should be good to go after that. Now all I need is the ugly red silk shirt they're going to make me wear just for this one song. Ewww!

Colleen and Jug's anniversary is on August 5th and in honor of that, Jug went and bought Colleen a MacBook Pro today! She's been wanting one for a while and this was apparently the perfect occasion for it. She's been learning the ropes and falling in love with it all day and we're all so proud of her! That makes 4 Macs under one roof now. Apple should be proud.

Colleen's daughter was in town this weekend along with her husband and two daughters. Amy and Skip both traveled in Up with People in 1992, which is actually where they met. They have to daughters, Amber (2 years) and Alana (5 months). Amber is the cutest kid I think I've ever seen (except for me, of course) and she has the most awesome personality. In fact, we had a tea party until about 10:30 on Friday night and it was super funny! Besides being a load of fun, Amber is pretty smart too. Colleen wrote a bunch of words down on a piece of paper and Amber read them all. Alana on the other hand is still super small and in baby mode. She doesn't cry too much, but when she does, believe me, you'll know it! She's got quite a personality for a 5 month old too. At dinner on Friday she was sitting on Colleen's lap and just kept posing for whoever was looking. She's going to be way photogenic when she's older! I had a great time with the extended host family, but they had to leave today to get back down to their home in Pueblo. Hopefully, they'll be able to make it back up here next weekend for our first performance, but if not they'll be able to see us once we get back from Mexico and pass through Colorado Springs, which is pretty close to their house.

Our premiere show is in 6 days! Here's to the start of a grueling week...ugh!!!
